Craft Docs

Sound Design • Haptics
Working with Craft I explored what role sound and haptics could play in their beautifully designed productivity app. I was invited to guide the team through this process—helping define where sound could lift and bring delight to the experience.

Craft tools

The sound drew on the idea of “crafting”, everyday tools like pencils, scissors, rulers and paper were recorded and re-imagined as interface sounds, paired metaphorically with actions. These tactile recordings were balanced with more synthesised tones to create a contrast between the hand-made and the digital.

Tactile Materials

The sounds were made to feel as tactile and present as possible - no reverb or effects, the sounds needed to feel close and textured as though you were interacting with them in your hands.
